My name is Jess. I am the name behind ReImagine Therapy, and I specialise in working with people struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and with expectant and new parents around their emotional wellbeing (sometimes referred to as perinatal work). In addition to this, I do also work with a number of other difficulties, such as trauma and low self-esteem.
ReImagine Therapy is based in Warrington, Cheshire, but I help people across the UK (face to face or via Zoom). I provide a warm and non-judgemental space, available to anyone. Due to my experience within OCD and perinatal mental health, I also have some associate therapists working with my clients online, so that we can help as many people as possible all across the country. Anyone associated with ReImagine Therapy is a safe person to work with for any gender, sexuality, faith and lifestyle. Myself and some of my associates also have additional training and experience in working with neurodivergence, and keep this in mind within our work so that we are neuro-affirming and can adapt the help we provide to make it accessible for everyone.
I provide private cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, in addition to using tools from therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT). The important thing to note is that I always tailor the approach to what my clients need, and we figure out the best fit for them following an initial assessment session. The aim is to always put you at the forefront in decisions, and to work in a way that fits with your goals and your brain. We always try to create lasting change in the way you think and feel.
CBT is a focused, evidence-based psychological therapy. It is recommended by The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the NHS to treat a wide range of issues, including; depression, different types of anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and low self-esteem. CBT will help you to unpick any difficulties you might be experiencing, so that you can move forwards and feel better.
EMDR is an innovative therapy treatment which is also recommended by NICE to treat difficulties including the effects of trauma. It combines eye movements with recalling past memories to help to reprocess information. EMDR can help with issues relating to trauma, self-esteem, and different types of anxiety
Reimagine Therapy also provides training to individuals, universities and businesses relating to my specialist areas, and general mental health and suicide prevention. I also have upcoming support groups and an ‘ask a therapist’ service on this website for short term advice and support.
